A freeze does not break your pipe when it freezes. It breaks it when it thaws — which is why so many owners walk into a flooded cabin on a sunny morning, days after the cold snap passed. Big Bear plumbing is a different trade than valley plumbing, and it has to be practiced differently.

Before we arrive
Water going somewhere it shouldn't? Do these three things.
Every minute of running water is more damage. This is the same advice we give on the phone, and it is worth reading before you ever need it.
Shut off the main
Look where the supply enters the house — crawlspace, garage or utility closet — or at the curb stop in a box near the street. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
Open the lowest faucet
A tub or an outside spigot on the lowest floor. That drains the pressure out of the system so the leak slows to a trickle.
Kill power to the area if water is near it
If water is anywhere near outlets, a panel or a light fixture, shut that circuit off at the breaker — then call us.
If you smell gas, skip all of this
Do not flip switches or use your phone indoors. Get everyone outside, close the tank valve if you can safely reach it on your way out, and call us from outside.

Yes. Emergency calls ring through to a plumber, not an answering service. If we are under a house and cannot pick up, we call back as soon as we are out — usually within a few minutes.

We price by the job, not by the hour, and you get a written number before work starts. For emergency and after-hours calls we quote the dispatch fee before we get in the truck so there are no surprises.
Yes — California license #1077687, and we carry liability insurance and workers' compensation. We are happy to provide certificates for HOAs, property managers or commercial clients.

Yes. Workmanship is warranted for one year on standard repairs, and manufacturer warranties on installed equipment are passed through to you in full. If a repair fails within the warranty period we come back at no charge.
