24/7 Emergency Plumbing in Big Bear

A real person answers the phone at 2am in a snowstorm. We carry the parts to stop the water tonight, not next week.

Overview

What this covers

Plumbing emergencies in Big Bear do not keep business hours, and they rarely happen on a mild afternoon. Most of our emergency calls come in at the worst possible moment — a Friday night cold snap, a holiday weekend with a full house, or the morning a property manager opens a cabin that has been empty for three weeks.

When you call, you get a plumber, not a call center in another state. We tell you how to shut the water off before we hang up, give you a realistic arrival window based on road conditions, and show up with a stocked truck so the repair happens on the first visit whenever it possibly can.

Included in this service

  • Live answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included
  • Burst, split and frozen pipe repair
  • Water heater failures and no-hot-water calls
  • Sewer and main line backups
  • Gas leak response and shutoff
  • Water shutoff coaching over the phone before we arrive
  • Emergency board-up of the leak, then a permanent repair plan
  • Snow-country access — we are already on the mountain

Call us immediately if you notice

  • Water coming through a ceiling, wall or light fixture
  • No water at any fixture in freezing weather
  • The smell of gas anywhere on the property
  • Sewage backing up into a tub or floor drain
  • A water heater that is leaking from the tank body
  • A meter that keeps spinning after every fixture is off

Not an emergency? Request a visit online and we will get back to you the same business day.

Questions

Emergency Plumbing — common questions

It depends on where you are and what the roads are doing, but because we live and work on the mountain we are not driving up the 330 to reach you. When you call we give you an honest window rather than an optimistic one, and we call again if conditions change.

Shut off the water. Most Big Bear homes have a main shutoff where the line enters the house or in a box near the street; if you are not sure, stay on the phone and we will walk you through finding it. Then open the lowest faucet in the house to drain pressure out of the system.

After-hours work costs more than a scheduled weekday call, and we tell you the number before we get in the truck. There are no surprises added to the invoice afterward.
