Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-10
About these terms
These terms cover use of this website. The terms of any actual plumbing work are set out in the written estimate and invoice you receive and sign for that job, and those documents control if anything here conflicts with them.
Estimates and pricing
Prices shown or described on this site are general guidance, not offers. Every job is quoted in writing after we understand the scope. A written estimate is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. If conditions we could not see change the scope, we stop, explain, and get your approval before continuing.
Scheduling and access
Arrival windows are estimates made in good faith. Weather, road closures and emergency calls ahead of you can move them, and we will tell you when they do. You are responsible for providing safe access to the work area, including snow clearance sufficient for a service vehicle.
Warranty
Workmanship on standard repairs is warranted for one year from completion. Manufacturer warranties on installed equipment pass through to you in full and are governed by the manufacturer's terms. The warranty does not cover damage from freezing in an unheated or improperly winterized structure, misuse, work performed by others, or pre-existing conditions we identified and you declined to address.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless different terms are agreed in writing. We accept Cash · Check · Credit & debit · Venmo · Zelle. Balances unpaid after 30 days may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by California law.
Cancellation
Please give as much notice as you can. Scheduled appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or where we arrive and cannot access the property, may incur a trip charge.
Licensing
J.O's Plumbing holds California contractors license #1077687. You may verify any California license at the Contractors State License Board. California law requires a licensed contractor to give consumers a notice about the Contractors State License Board on contracts over $500; that notice is included with your written estimate.
Website content
Content on this site is provided for general information and is not a substitute for a professional inspection of your property. Photographs depict representative work. Do not rely on general guidance here in an emergency — call us.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the website itself is limited to the amount you paid to access it, which is nothing. This does not limit any liability arising from work we actually perform, which is governed by your written contract and by California law.
