Accessibility Statement

Last updated 2026-09-10

Our commitment

We want every customer to be able to use this site, including people who navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion settings. Plumbing emergencies do not discriminate, and neither should the page you land on at 2am.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and a skip-to-content link on every page
  • Full keyboard operability, including the menu, accordions, gallery lightbox and multi-step form
  • Visible focus indicators that meet contrast requirements
  • Text and interface colors tested against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative icons hidden from assistive tech
  • Form fields with real labels, described errors, and errors announced rather than only colored
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting — animation is disabled when you ask for it
  • Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px width and up to 200% zoom

Standard we aim for

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Known gaps

Embedded third-party content, such as a map, is outside our direct control and may not fully conform. If a map or embed blocks you from getting information you need, call us and we will give it to you directly.

Tell us if something does not work

If any part of this site prevents you from finding information or reaching us, we want to know so we can fix it — and in the meantime we will simply help you over the phone. Call (909) 273-5704 or email service@bigbearsplumber.com and describe what happened. We aim to respond within two business days.
